Hello lovely peeps
I've got a home decor piece to show you today which I made with a few simple dies.
For the tree branches I used a single Woodland Branch die from Memory Box, cut three times into an 8x8 piece of white linen card. I did a rough pencil sketch first to work out where I wanted them to go. Keep all the pieces that are cut out, you need some of them for filling in later.
Where you don't want the bottom end of the branch to be cut out, let that hang out over the end of the cutting plate when running it through the machine.
For the tree trunk I used the edge of a large oval die to trace the line and then cut it with scissors.
The negative shape was then laid over some patterned paper which I'd glued over the back board of an 8"x8" box frame. Fill in the gaps with the offcuts you saved earlier.
The leaves were all cut out using dies from the Susan's Garden collection by Sizzix and glued on at the tips of the branches.
